Union Printing SpA has been operating in the printing sector since 1974. The company’s legal and commercial center is in Rome, where graphic and communications projects are also developed. The historic headquarters is in Viterbo, housing production facilities and administrative offices as well as commercial activities. As a company we have been careful to keep abreast of the demands of an industry in constant evolution and the impact those demands have on society. For this reason, in the year 2000 we acquired ISO 9001certification, a guarantee of our commitment to the highest standards of quality. During the year 2011 we adopted a series of procedures that allowed us to acquire the environmental certification, ISO 14001 and FSC® e PEFC™ certifications, the green protocol for papers.The most important factor was the installation of a state-of the art Coldset rotary press, capable of reducing the emission of gas into the atmosphere by 100% and compared to a hot bed printer of similar dimensions. Thanks to the use of this technology, Union Printing has been able to participate in the Ecompany Prints project, aimed at neutralizing the emission of carbon dioxide (CO2), using VER credits, Voluntary Emission Reduction, earned by promoting projects that use renewable energy sources, insure energy efficiency and advocate reforestation. By adhering to the E-company Prints campaign, Union Printing neutralizes the emission of CO2 in its industrial output. We are also in the process of applying for the SA8000 Certificate of Ethics.
